Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Define and prioritize the product backlog, engaging with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure alignment with project goals. Create specific JIRA tasks for the technology team, ensuring alignment with the product vision and leveraging synergies. Serve as a stakeholder-facing Product Owner, synthesizing requirements and driving analysis through targeted questions, supported by workflow documents, scenario analysis, and wireframes. Work closely with other Product Owners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet scope requirements. Take ownership of deliverables from the Book of Work and ensure their timely completion. Lead cross-functional teams to enhance regulatory and compliance frameworks for enterprise-wide data solutions. Provide clear direction and vision to technology partners, testing teams, and stakeholders throughout the Agile Development Lifecycle. Track defects, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to resolve issues, supporting the end-to-end user acceptance testing process. Perform extensive data mining and analysis to support recommendations and inform necessary action items. Develop, track, analyze, and publish project reports, summaries, scorecards, and performance trends. Lead initiatives to reduce market data costs, achieving year-over-year savings in external vendor expenditures. Initiate and manage the onboarding process for new market and external vendor data providers. Promote the adoption and simplification of internal market data production through standardized frameworks and patterns.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Engineering, Management, Systems Design, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Management, IT Consultant/Associate, Senior Product Manager, Product Leadership, Product Designer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Systems Design, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Management, IT Consultant/Associate, Senior Product Manager, Product Leadership, Product Designer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: end-to-end Agile project management, ensuring seamless delivery of projects from inception to completion; acting as a business Product Owner to translate stakeholder needs into actionable product features and enhancements; managing and maintaining instrument reference data, including Equity, Rates, Credit, Mortgages, Public Finance, and Exchange Traded Derivatives, ensuring data accuracy and integrity; ensuring compliance with industry regulations by integrating data privacy and security measures into product design and development processes; collaborating with external market vendors such as Bloomberg or LSEG/Refinitiv, to integrate products and services into existing systems and workflows; crafting detailed business requirements and groom user stories in collaboration with technology partners to ensure alignment with business objectives; applying Agile methodologies, Roadmap Strategy, and Market Research to drive product development and strategic planning; managing cross-functional teams; utilizing testing tools, including Quality Center, Pivot tables, and V-lookups to identify product enhancement opportunities; managing and optimizing database systems, including MongoDB, MS SQL Server, and Oracle while applying foundational database concepts to support data-driven decision-making; instrument and market data products to support informed product development and strategy; implementing cloud-enabling technologies such as AWS, to enhance product scalability and performance; employing data analytics tools including Python, R, Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, and Amplitude to extract insights and drive data-informed decisions.
