As a part of this world-class software engineering team, you will be charged with architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures for Offices, Points of Presence (PoPs), and Azure Cloud environments. We ensure seamless connectivity, high security, and reliability across global campus and data center networks. You will help transform our corporate network infrastructure through innovation in design, deployment, and automation. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration across infrastructure and application teams. The ideal candidate will be excited for the challenge to transform and think critically on many computer science disciplines including product design, usability, building APIs and user-centric online applications, business logic, scaling performance, and 24x7 reliability.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and deploy enterprise network solutions across office and PoP environments
- Provide technical leadership on WAN, routing, and cloud network architecture
- Improve performance, reliability, and observability of large-scale enterprise networks
- Implement and maintain network automation solutions using tools like Python and Ansible
- Support Azure cloud networking, including ExpressRoute, VNets, and routing integrations
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues by analyzing data and conducting root cause analysis
- Participate in on-call rotation for network support, incident management, and troubleshooting
- Maintain up-to-date network documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure and security teams to enforce operational standards and policies
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or related practical experience
- 8+ years of hands-on industry experience in enterprise or service provider network engineering
- Experience in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) and understanding of TCP/IP, QoS, and MPLS
- Background with Python or other scripting languages for network automation
- Experience with network configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, NETCONF)
- Experience using version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and network performance optimization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and deploying network infrastructure in Azure cloud and hybrid environments
- Prior experience building PoP networks and integrating them into enterprise backbones
- Proven ability to plan and lead operational readiness for new infrastructure deployments
- Experience in automation of network deployments and auto-remediation of faults
- Certifications such as CCNP, DevNet Professional, or Azure Network Engineer Associate
