Institutional Finance & Excel Modeling AI Trainer, $90-$100/hour
Project Overview
We are seeking a group of skilled Institutional Finance and Excel Modeling professionals to work as a project consultant in our AI Labor Marketplace. This is not a full-time employment position — you will be engaged as an expert project consultant on a contract basis.
Location: U.S.-based experts only
Engagement: Part-time, project-based expert evaluation work
Work Type: Remote
Finance experts will build realistic synthetic financial datasets, develop advanced Excel models (e.g., 3-statement models, LBOs, M&A and valuation scenarios), craft domain-specific prompts, produce gold-standard analytical answers, and record structured walkthroughs demonstrating professional financial reasoning and Excel execution.
This is a project-based consultant role. Consultants will be paid on a per-project basis; hourly rates are estimates based on anticipated completion time. Consultants control their own schedule, provide their own tools, and may simultaneously provide services to other vendors/employers (subject to those vendors’ allowances).
Responsibilities:
Contributors will:
- Build realistic, fully synthetic financial datasets
- Develop advanced Excel models incorporating complex formulas, Power Query, dashboards, and structured model architecture
- Construct domain-specific finance prompts tied to the models
- Produce complete, gold-standard analytical solutions
- Record screen-only walkthroughs explaining modeling decisions and financial reasoning
- Ensure outputs meet institutional finance and modeling standards
- Revise submissions if feedback is provided during review

Qualifications
- 3–8+ years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, valuation, private equity–related consulting, or comparable institutional finance roles
- Advanced Excel proficiency (complex formulas, modeling best practices, Power Query; VBA optional)
- Demonstrated experience building financial models independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
