Zillow’s Preferred Strategy & Insights team helps shape the future of the selling experience by turning data into decisions across our for-sale partner program. This team works closely with partners across Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to improve the seller journey, inform strategy, and support solutions that help more customers move with confidence.

About the role

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will help drive strategy for Zillow’s Preferred Seller business by translating complex data into clear recommendations and measurable action. You’ll partner across teams to identify growth opportunities, improve conversion and operational performance, and shape the reporting, forecasting, and insights that guide business decisions.

You Will Get To

  • Define and track key success metrics across the Preferred Seller journey to measure performance and identify growth opportunities.

  • Own core business reporting, dashboards, forecasts, and weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews to inform stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • Lead A/B tests, pilots, and experiments to evaluate performance and guide data-driven decisions.

  • Use data to uncover trends and opportunities that improve seller conversion, sales performance, and operational efficiency across the seller and buyer funnels.

  • Partner with leaders across Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to turn business questions into actionable analysis and recommendations.

  • Work with Engineering, Data, and business stakeholders to define requirements and build scalable datasets, models, and analytic solutions.

  • Design clear, compelling analyses and visualizations that help internal teams understand performance and make decisions faster.

  • Provide thought leadership across the organization and help guide and mentor junior analysts on the team.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $118,600.00 - $189,400.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont the standard base pay range for this role is $112,700.00 - $179,900.00 annually. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.

Who you are

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as science, engineering, economics, mathematics, or statistics, or equivalent practical experience, along with 5–10 years of experience in analytics, operations, consulting, FP&A, or a related field.

  • You have strong SQL skills and experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau or Periscope, with Python or R experience preferred.

  • You know how to use AI-powered tools and LLMs to improve analytical workflows, including data modeling, code generation, and storytelling.

  • You can build models in Excel and turn analysis into clear, executive-ready presentations and recommendations.

  • You have experience independently leading cross-functional projects from problem definition through analysis, recommendation, and implementation.

  • You can design reporting frameworks and analytical roadmaps and communicate them effectively to peers and senior stakeholders.

  • You bring strong statistical judgment, business acumen, and a customer-focused mindset to your work.

  • You communicate complex ideas clearly, collaborate effectively across teams, and value diverse perspectives.
