Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position Commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on knowledge of OT networking protocols (DNP3.0, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and managed network switches (Cisco, Arista, Dell)
- A solid understanding of Ethernet, fiber optic, and wireless hardware, including hardware specification for networks
- Thorough understanding of OT network architecture (Purdue Model etc.)
- Hands-on experience with SEL ICON and RTAC
- Familiarity with engineering principles, maintenance techniques, and construction methodologies
- Experience applying engineering standards, project planning, and process engineering practices
- Problem-Solving Skills: A knack for resolving diverse, complex challenges with practical, forward-thinking solutions
- Clear Communication: Confidence working across teams, fostering collaboration, and building consensus at IT/OT intersections
