Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Strategy: Provide expert pre-sales support and develop technical strategies that align MathWorks solutions with customer workflows, driving adoption and achieving sales goals.

Customer-Focused Solution Development: Collaborate with engineers to architect models, design simulation test benches, and integrate model-based testing into CI/CD pipelines—ensuring robust verification, validation, and compliance with safety standards like ISO 26262.

Engaging Demonstrations & Presentations: Create and deliver impactful demos and presentations for MATLAB, Simulink, and related tools, tailored to both small meetings and large events.

Evaluation & Enablement: Guide customers through product evaluations and feasibility projects to showcase the value of MathWorks tools in real-world applications.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with development and marketing teams to enhance products, identify new application areas, and craft compelling messaging based on customer insights.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
Additional Qualifications
- This person should possess strong engineering skills in the development and testing of control systems along with an MS or Ph.D. in engineering, or equivalent.
- Significant experience and enthusiasm for modeling and simulation, system and component verification and validation, and experience with formal verification and validation methods are a plus.
- Working knowledge of safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or DO 178 is desirable.
- Ability to discuss how modeling and simulation are changing the systems design process in a fundamental way.
- A qualified candidate will be able to effectively communicate his/her passion for MathWorks software to our customers. Candidates should be interested in working directly with customers to help them understand how to apply our products to their problems.
- Travel is generally throughout Southeast Michigan specific to various seminars, customer visits, etc. Though far less frequent, some international travel is available. The candidate should expect to travel about 20-30% of the time
- Experience with MathWorks tools or other modeling and verification tools is a plus.
