Job Summary
Work on all aspects of development from programming language design to compiler optimizations and back-end technologies. Responsible for designing and developing sophisticated software for large software projects. Design and implement complex software features and components of control systems software. Write high quality code and design extensible software using software engineering principles, patterns and methodologies. Execute performance monitoring and integration and participate in software development projects of broad scope, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, qualification and validation. Assist cross-functional team members in engineering, quality engineering, user experience, and documentation. Increase productivity and bring quality features to market. Work with subject matter experts in pursuit of continuous improvement of designs and strategies. Responsible for managing project plans, design documents, test plans and reviews, and communicate and review these plans with relevant stakeholders.
May telecommute up to 40%.
Rate of Pay: $178,131.00 to $205,400.00 per year

Required Qualifications:
Employer will accept a PhD degree in Engineering [any], Computer Science, or related field and no experience.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Engineering [any], Computer Science, or related and [2] two years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Software Engineer-related occupation or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering [any], Computer Science, or a related field and [5] five years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
- Demonstrated expertise with MATLAB and Simulink, or Stateflow;
- Demonstrated expertise in programming in C++ or JavaScript;
- Demonstrated expertise writing algorithms and data structures using C++ or JavaScript; and
- Demonstrated expertise in backend software development, including expertise in designing RESTful APIs.
Experience may be gained during graduate program. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. Multiple positions available.
