Join our EMEA Aerospace and Defence team—where a passion for mathematics, engineering, software, and innovation comes together. In this high‑impact, customer‑facing role, you’ll leverage your deep technical expertise and interpersonal skills to help Europe’s leading aerospace and defence organisations improve their products, streamline their development processes, and embrace the latest trends in large‑scale simulation, analysis, and systems engineering using MathWorks tools.

You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across development, sales, and marketing to engage with MATLAB and Simulink users, while contributing to the evolution of MathWorks products that enable the next generation of complex engineered systems.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with top-tier aerospace and defence customers to understand their key business and technical challenges, and translate them into actionable technical engagement plans
  • Solve complex modelling, simulation, and analysis problems across a wide range of applications
  • Design and develop customer solutions, including creation of prototypes and proof‑of‑concept workflows
  • Identify emerging industry trends and work with global teams to create compelling demonstrations, messaging, and thought leadership
  • Advocate for customer needs and influence the future direction of MathWorks products

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong expertise with MATLAB and Simulink
  • Understanding of mathematical and first-principles modelling and simulation
  • Professional experience developing C/C++ software for embedded or real‑time applications
  • Ability to scope, lead, and manage multiple concurrent technical projects
  • Fluent in German and English; Spanish is a plus
  • Willingness to travel across Europe (on average 1–2 days per week)
