Job Description

McDonald’s UK & Ireland is looking for a Demand & Defect Analyst to join our Technology team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the seamless rollout of digital innovation across our 1,400+ restaurants - collaborating with global teams, suppliers, and local stakeholders to embed quality at every stage of delivery.

You’ll lead the planning and reporting of test activities, manage defect pipelines, and help drive continuous improvement through best-in-class tools and insights — all while shaping the digital experience for millions of customers across the UK and Ireland.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Plan, coordinate, and prioritise testing activity across our UK&I tech portfolio
  • Track and report progress on testing and defect resolution to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Run dashboards and reporting tools (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets) for our QA & Test function
  • Partner with global and local teams to automate test cases and introduce new tools
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes and product quality
  • Identify blockers early, escalate effectively, and help keep deployments on track

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

  • Hands-on experience in a testing function or product quality assurance team
  • Expertise with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office — especially Excel (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable reporting
  • Confidence working cross-functionally in a fast paced, agile environment
  • Curiosity, drive, and a problem-solving mindset
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
