We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Calibration Engineer to join our team, focusing on the operations within our Calibration Lab. This role requires in depth experience of sustain our sophisticated toolset and to provide guidance to the calibration team, ensuring the successful accomplishment of our calibration charter.
Hardware Calibration Engineer Responsibilities
  • Manage Calibration Lab: Supervise the daily operations of the calibration lab, ensuring all equipment and processes function optimally and adhere to established standards
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the calibration workflow, offering guidance, troubleshooting, and support for the Wearables product family
  • Scope Calibration Requests: Evaluate and precisely scope incoming calibration requests, ensuring clarity, completeness, and actionable definitions
  • Manage Machinery Changeover: Direct and manage the changeover of machinery to accommodate new products, which includes significant fixture and software modifications for over 30 pieces of equipment
  • Sustain Tool Set: Proactively maintain and update the entire toolset within the calibration lab, ensuring seamless alignment and consistency with tools used in manufacturing factories
  • Data Pipeline Maintenance: Ensure the robust maintenance of the calibration data pipeline, facilitating easy and efficient access to critical calibration data for internal customers
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of dedicated calibration technicians, effectively prioritizing jobs and ensuring that all customer demands are met in a timely and efficient manner
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a closely related technical field
  • 1+ years of industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in calibration, laboratory management, or a related technical domain
  • Possess technical acumen in SW development, demonstrated leadership experience and proficiency in managing calibration equipment and intricate data systems
  • Practical experience and comprehensive understanding of calibration processes, methodologies, and equipment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address complex technical challenges and implement innovative solutions
  • Proficient in developing and implementing software solutions for calibration systems, including data acquisition, analysis, and automation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with Wearables products and a comprehensive understanding of factory calibration standards
  • Proven experience in organizational and communication skills, coupled with significant experience in team management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate, and mentor a team of calibration technicians towards achieving common goals
  • Track record in Python development
  • The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of calibration processes, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing complex equipment and data system

$111,000/year to $131,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
