Do you want to be part of a team that is driving Microsoft’s worldwide technical skills enablement for Customers and Partners? Do you like riding the line between engineering and business strategy? As a TECHNICAL SOLUTION MGR for Commercial Skilling within Worldwide Learning (WWL), you will be responsible for managing and leading the enhancements of the Dynamics365 (D365) platform that supports the Enterprise Skills Initiative (ESI) program. You will work closely with learning product, engineering, operations, scheduling, and delivery teams to ensure the D365 platform meets business needs and delivers seamless experiences for our customers and partners. You will also own the backlog and prioritization for enhancing existing capabilities (EEC), the user acceptance testing (UAT) process, and the tooling update communications for the D365 platform to our business stakeholders. You will be the main point of contact for any escalations, issues, or feedback related to the D365 platform. You will also act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and input on various projects and initiatives for ESI that involve the D365 platform.

This role will allow you to combine your passion and expertise with technology, business strategy, data analysis, cross-team alignment, real world problem solving, while building and maintaining a platform that reaches a global scale to drive learning and positive customer experiences.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Project Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in project management, operations, or engineering
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in project management, operations, or engineering
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, project management, or business analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience with D365 platform and knowledge of D365 modules: Customer Insights and Field Services
  • 3+ years experience with Agile methodology, Azure DevOps, UAT testing, and PBI reporting.

Technical Solution Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Own the D365 platform and ensure its alignment with the ESI delivery programs.
  • Complete minor data enhancements or changes within D365 allowing engineering teams to focus on larger, more complex enhancements.
  • Work with engineering team daily on questions, clarifications, and solutioning across various projects and features.
  • Manage the EEC backlog of enhancement requests and bug fixes and prioritize them based on business impact and urgency.
  • Test all the EEC backlog items that get released in UAT before they move to Production and provide feedback to the engineering team.
  • Communicate the tooling updates and changes to the relevant stakeholders via email or rhythms of business.
  • Handle the support escalations and issues related to the D365 platform and communicate the status and resolution to the impacted stakeholders.
  • Approve the platform access requests and ensure the users are given the appropriate permissions for their roles.
  • Collaborate with other workstream leads and vTeam members on various projects and epics that involve the D365 platform across ESI.
  • Provide input, feedback, and guidance on the reporting requirements and data access for the D365 platform.
