We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) who specializes in data platforms and analytics to help customers build secure, scalable, and AI-ready solutions on Microsoft Azure. In this customer-facing role, you’ll deliver engagements that span architecture design, proof of concepts, and production deployments, ensuring performance, resiliency, and security across mission-critical workloads. As part of the Cloud + AI Data team, you’ll leverage existing Repeatable IP and execution engines with accountability to drive delivery excellence, accelerate adoption, and ensure a successful deployment for the customer for services like Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Cosmos DB, and Purview. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams, share best practices, and stay current with evolving trends to help customers unlock the full value of their data and AI investments.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND several years of experience in one or more of the following: cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
  • Data platforms and analytics experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, or Master’s degree with solid experience in technology solutions, architecture, or consulting.
  • Proven track record in customer-facing roles, driving technical strategy and delivering complex solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in leading technical projects and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Technical certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and/or security.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with key customer IT and business decision makers to understand their data estate, priorities, and success measures, with a primary focus on designing secure, scalable Data & AI solutions centered around Power BI within Microsoft Fabric. Over time, expand your impact across the broader data domain, including Azure Databricks, databases, data governance, and AI.
  • Lead architecture design sessions, develop Data & Analytics roadmaps, and drive Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to accelerate adoption of Power BI and ensure long-term technical viability for customers’ analytics solutions.
  • Own the end-to-end technical delivery results for Power BI and related data workloads, ensuring completeness and accuracy of consumption and customer success plans in collaboration with the CSAM.
  • Deliver repeatable intellectual property (IP) to achieve targeted outcomes, accelerate Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR), and contribute to centralized IP development initiatives, with a focus on Power BI best practices and reusable assets.
  • Provide delivery oversight and escalation support for key consumption engagements, especially those involving Power BI and Data & Analytics workloads.
  • Drive technical excellence by leading the health, governance, and optimization of mission-critical Power BI solutions, ensuring readiness for production-scale AI and analytics use cases.
  • Identify and resolve issues blocking go-live of migration and modernization projects, leveraging Azure Infrastructure and Power BI subject matter expertise, and lead technical conversations with customers to maximize value from their Microsoft investments, always adhering to Microsoft best practices and policies.
  • Maintain deep technical expertise in Power BI and stay current with market trends, competitive insights, and Microsoft’s evolving data and AI capabilities.
  • Demonstrate a self-learner mindset through continuous skilling aligned to team and customer success goals, actively engaging in relevant communities to share Power BI expertise, contribute to IP creation, prioritize IP reuse, and learn from others to accelerate customer transformation journeys.
  • Be accredited and certified to deliver with advanced and expert-level proficiency in priority workloads, with an emphasis on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, as well as Azure Databricks, Microsoft Purview, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cosmos DB.
