Overview

The Chief of Staff for Security Engineering and Product is a strategic partner to the leadership team, driving operational excellence and enabling clarity in decision-making across security-focused initiatives. This role is pivotal in aligning priorities for Edge security, specialized Azure cloud environments, and core security fundamentals, ensuring seamless execution of strategic objectives across engineering and product domains.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in Chief of Staff, program management, or strategic operations roles within technical or product organizations.

Other Requirements:

  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport. Lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees may verify status using other documents, where applicable.

Preferred/Other Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to acquire and maintain a US Government Clearance
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Cybersecurity).
  • Experience in security engineering, cybersecurity, or cloud security programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI)
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and building inclusive teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering and product development processes.
  • Exceptional collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment.
  • Experience with strategic planning, business operations, and executive communications.

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment & Execution
    • Partner closely with Security Engineering and Product leaders to drive strategic planning and execution for Edge security, Azure specialized clouds, and security fundamentals.
    • Ensure alignment of security priorities across cross-functional teams and business units.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Lead and manage business rhythms including leadership reviews, security-focused all-hands, and planning cycles.
    • Drive cross-functional security initiatives and ensure timely delivery of key priorities.
  • Leadership Partnership
    • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to security leadership, enabling clarity and focus on risk mitigation and secure design principles.
    • Manage executive communications and change management for security programs.
  • Organizational Health
    • Support culture and inclusion efforts, fostering a high-performing, security-conscious organization.
    • Coordinate with Finance, HR, and other support functions to ensure operational efficiency, including headcount planning and resource allocation for security programs.
  • Special Projects
    • Lead initiatives spanning Edge security, cloud isolation strategies, and secure-by-design engineering practices.
