Overview
The Experiences + Devices Localisation team at Microsoft is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer to help build the next-generation localisation pipeline. You will work with the latest in AI, cloud, and modern engineering to solve real-world challenges. You’ll work closely with developers, data scientists, program managers, and partner teams to deliver scalable solutions that power global product experiences.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building libraries, SDKs, and other development platform components.
- Object-oriented design, coding and testing patterns.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and architecture.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies.
- Familiarity with building web applications or cloud services.
- Interest in global product development and localization systems.
- Understanding of scalable service design and cross-team collaboration.
- Solid problem-solving mindset and comfort with ambiguity.
- Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to ask questions, share ideas, and work collaboratively.
- Openness to feedback and a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Build real-world impact designing scalable components and localization platforms that power Microsoft products for global audiences.
- Write high-quality code that is secure, reliable, and easy to monitor learning best practices along the way.
- Balance performance and quality as you grow your understanding of how large-scale systems are built and maintained.
- Learn through collaboration by participating in design discussions, code reviews, pair programming, and regular feedback sessions.
- Solve meaningful problems using technologies like C#, JavaScript, Python, and AI while continuously improving your technical skills.
- Work cross-functionally with engineers, program managers, data scientists, and partner teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Explore new technologies and broaden your expertise across tools, platforms, and engineering disciplines.
