Overview

The AI Business Application Solutions (AI BAS) team is Microsoft’s high-impact Specialist Team (ST) within MCAPs Global Black Organization leading the next wave of enterprise transformation—powered by AI. Our mission is to guide customers from legacyCustomer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to Microsoft Dynamics 365, M365 Copilot, and Copilot Studio, accelerating outcomes through Role-Based Copilots and Intelligent Agents. We combine deep industry expertise with rapid prototyping and solution delivery to help customers realize the full potential of AI—from embedded agents in every workflow to standalone agent platforms that drive competitive advantage. The Principal, AI Agent and D365 Platform Specialist role will be a key leadership role driving Microsoft’s FY26 AI Agent and D365 Core initiatives within the AI Business Applications Specialist Team (AI BAS ST).

This individual will lead field-facing strategy, cross-functional execution, and acceleration for Copilot Studio, building reusable agent prototypes, co-creating with top enterprise customers, and embedding Microsoft’s differentiated value. You will define and execute a prototype-first, outcome-based model that moves customers from exploration to committed revenue—fast.

This role will lead our most strategic growth initiative: positioning Copilot Studio as the enterprise agent platform of choice and accelerating AI adoption for rapid value realization. You will also oversee the replacement of legacy systems of record with D365. The leader will be responsible for executing $50M in revenue across M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and D365 Sales, Service, and ERP

workloads and ensuring we lead and deploy agents across Salesforce Replacement, ERP Accelerate, and Contact Center initiatives.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Computer Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient nowledge of Microsoft’s ecosystem, including Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure, and M365.
  • Proficient in generative AI, intelligent agents, and large language model applications.
  • Track record of launching and scaling strategic programs with revenue accountability.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and field sales teams to drive execution.
  • Proficient executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS, AI platforms, or cloud Go-To-Market (GTM) leadership.
  • Familiarity with Return on Inventment (ROI)-driven decision-making processes in CRM implementations.
  • Passion for customers, technology and learning.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments with exposure to diverse customer industries.

Business Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution for Copilot Studio opportunities while replacing legacy CRM and ERP systems with D365 with a goal of $50M+ in FY26 revenue.
  • Create, scale, and manage customer-facing AI agent prototypes that showcase differentiated business outcomes.
  • Build and execute a competitive displacement strategy against Google, Palantir, and other AI-first platforms.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Field to align on agent flows, MVP features, and co-development paths.
  • Own the strategy and execution of reusable agent templates (e.g., Voice Agent, Sales Chat, Qualification Agent) to scale field motion.
  • Evangelize agent-based selling across Microsoft’s field and partner ecosystem.
  • Leverage Partners, AI BAST Technical Architect, Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE), and Fast Track (FT) to accelerate solution delivery, from pilot to production.
  • Prioritize investments and partner engagement strategies for Copilot Studio-certified delivery teams.
