The ILDC team is expanding and looking to hire a Security Assurance Product Manager. This role involves supporting strategic security initiatives by understanding multifaceted requirements, analyzing complex security issues, driving risk-informed solutions, and enabling cross-functional alignment across product, security research, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, cybersecurity savviness, regulatory awareness, and product management skills to support AI scale projects, identify high-impact vulnerabilities, help design secure solutions, and support security reviews.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent education.
  • 4+ years of experience in leading the security vision of technology products.

Other requirements:

  • Background in Security and Cloud and an understanding of current AI concepts and tools. Familiarity with the Microsoft security and AI stacks is a plus.
  • Experience with multi-dimensional security concepts and products (HW, FW, SW and Cloud). Experience with security regulations is a plus.
  • Experience with defining and tracking OKRs and KPIs to measure program performance is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Data driven and curious, with a passion for ongoing learning, experimenting, and improving.
  • Autonomous and capable of navigating in an ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Define vision and long-term strategy for security assurance programs, aligning with Microsoft’s top-level objectives.
  • Analyze systemic security issues, prioritize risks, manage risk dependencies and influence engineering efforts to reduce vulnerabilities at scale.
  • Drive alignment across security research, engineering, compliance, and product teams; lead programs that span multiple divisions.
  • Design scalable frameworks and tools for SDL compliance, vulnerability reduction, and governance rather than one-off fixes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in security architecture to continuously improve security measures.
  • Maintain deep subject matter expertise in cloud security, vulnerability management, and compliance tooling. Stay current with regulatory changes and emerging technologies, providing guidance, mentorship, and documentation to support organizational learning.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to report progress, address concerns, and provide strategic security insights.
  • Contribute to internal and external security communities to promote best practices.
