The Xbox Accessories Platform team is seeking an adept, creative engineer to help deliver the next generation of devices to delight players while also building the infrastructure to support gaming accessories across all the diverse hardware the modern gamer plays on.

Whether it is with a controller, an audio device, or new and innovative devices such as the Xbox Adaptive controller, you will be at the center of our player-centric vision for gaming initiatives across all Microsoft platforms, including Xbox consoles, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Windows and more. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C or C++
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in design, development and debugging in C/C++.
  • 2+ years experience in client / server network component design and development.
  • 2+ years experience writing and debugging code running on Windows operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience writing high performance and low-latency code
  • Experience writing low resource consumption code for IoT devices

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
