The Azure Networking Services team builds and operates the foundational cloud infrastructure that powers Microsoft Azure. We continually modernize our platform architecture to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient networking services that meet the growing demands of Artificial Intelligence (AI), enterprise, and cloud-native workloads. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead modernization and migration initiatives across Azure Networking’s control and data planes, partnering closely with engineering teams across Azure Core. You’ll orchestrate complex, cross-functional projects, align technical roadmaps, and influence architectural decisions that strengthen the reliability, security, and scalability of Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, product development, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2+ year(s) experience with cloud infrastructure technologies, leading engineering teams and ability to coordinate large scale programs.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • You will partner with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions across feature areas. You’ll also identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.
  • You’ll define success criteria and create relationships for implementing features for complex cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across organizations.
  • You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and manage governance programs.
  • You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch. You’ll also lead teams to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics, drive customer support, and lead direct customer engagements
