Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C++
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year of experience with multi-threaded programming and debugging.
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C or C#
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C or C#
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with video streaming or equivalent networking scenarios.
- Experience in Windows OS development, including system integration, security models, and performance optimization for applications.
- Familiar with C++ Standard Template Library (STL).
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

Responsibilities
- Create, implement, optimize, and debug code to develop streaming protocol features.
- Design and implement tools and techniques to analyze and improve the performance of cloud streaming protocol.
- Help develop and contribute to automation deployment of product features and run code in simulated or other non-production environments to confirm functionality and measure performance.
- Contribute in partnership with appropriate stakeholder to determine requirements for a feature and consider a variety of feedback to incorporate insights into designs or fixes.
- Learn and contribute to the architecture of product features and help to refine code plans under the technical leadership of others.
- Learn about and contribute to operation of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis and identify solutions and mitigations to issues impacting performance or functionality of service.
