Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey on the Microsoft Cloud.

C+E’s Commerce Financial Services (CFS) team is responsible for Financial Platforms, Global Payments & Cash, Employee Financial Experiences, and C+E Governance, and also develops and operates financial commerce platforms and tools that perform all revenue management functions for our customers, partners, and staff worldwide

Overview of the role:

As part of the Financial Experiences (FinEx) Procurement team in CFP, as an SAP Software Engineer, you will be personally involved in leading the designing, coding and testing features that enable our mission critical business partners. You will work closely with peers across teams (inside FinEx and across the company) to help build flexible and high-performing Procurement solutions that enable the next generation of business services. You will utilize tools of Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) as well as instrumenting telemetry and alerting to help monitor our service and diagnose and resolve issues quickly. This is a data-driven and fast paced environment – engineers are empowered to innovate and take ideas from conception to scale. A Software engineer is accountable for working with Functional Analysts, Product Owners and other CFP SAP teams to ensure that ERP solutions are developed, delivered, aligned to the Technology Roadmaps which are aligned to the business roadmaps and future business scenarios.

The Microsoft implementation of SAP is a large-scale enterprise solution featuring SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8 (FI-CO, SD, SCM, HCM, GTS). The journey to upgrade to S/4 HANA has begun at corporate level. FinEx Procurement has also embarked on its transformation journey with Ariba B&I implementation project which begun recently. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are motivated to grow their careers in SAP and Microsoft technologies. The individual hired for this position will implement solutions for Procurement service line using Ariba & SAP technology.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements (Must Have)

BE/BTech/ ME /MTech in Computer Science, or related technical discipline

A minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP Programming - Advanced ABAP OOPS, OData, Restful ABAP, SAP Workflow, SAPUI5, Fiori, Enhancements (SAP Enhancements, Customer Exit, User Exit, BADIs), Experience on BRF+, AIF, Business Objects, Smart Forms, SAP Script and adobe forms.

Interfacing Technologies - RFCs, BAPIs, ALE/IDOC and EDI, Web Service development/WSDL, API Management.

Working knowledge of SAP BTP / Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG)

Resolve complex system integration challenges working with other members of the team and external teams.

Experience of Integration of SAP ERP system with other SAP Solutions (Ariba, MDG etc) and non-SAP systems.

Working Experience in Custom development for SAP Procurement (Source to Pay) modules.

Must be able to participate in a team environment and communicate effectively

Strong problem solving, troubleshooting skills along with sound judgement and decision-making skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience working with geographically diverse groups

Preferred Qualifications

ABAP on HANA and S/4HANA Implementation or SoH (Suit on Hana) experience.

Experience of BTP / CIG.

Understanding of the Source to Pay business process.

Excellent ability to succeed in ambiguous environment.

Knowledge in developing solutions in Microsoft Azure Platform is a plus, exposure to App services, Azure Synapse, Event hub, Log Analytics, Azure AD, Application Insights, etc.

The responsibilities include -

  • Design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions
  • Practice Agile+ software development by adding and leveraging Telemetry/Instrumentation to our components and services to drive decisions while executing in an agile cadence for engineering activities such as designing, coding, testing, debugging and incident management.
  • Adhere to and drive sound software engineering practices through design reviews, system design through well-defined interfaces across multiple components, code reviews, leveraging data / telemetry to make decisions.
  • Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
  • Design and implement an SAP ecosystem that fulfills the company's business requirements, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
  • Understand integrated business processes within the SAP module, including interactions with extended business systems.
  • Lead the team in adopting relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes from Microsoft and industry.
  • Pays utmost attention to quality right from the design phase, incorporating TDD practices and are engineered for testability
  • Exposes test coverage issues, organizes and implements integration tests, and resolves problem areas.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users.
  • Apply coding patterns and best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with other disciplines of the project team.
  • Identify new opportunities to help meet our customers’ needs.
  • Stay educated on existing, emerging technologies and do POCs to evaluate technology that fits customer needs.
