We are seeking a highly-motivated Senior Finance Manager, M365 Cloud and AI, to partner with engineering and business leaders, lead long-term planning, and shape the future margin profile of Microsoft 365 (M365) Cloud. You will lead discussions on Long Range Plans for productivity (Office 365 properties as part of M365), including landing gross margin and Profit & Loss (P&L) principles with engineering leaders to hit margin goals.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of financial modeling, planning and/or analysis experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Analytical skills and strategic thinking skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast moving environments with evolving technology and business model trends.
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way. Executive level communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project results through both individual and team efforts.
  • Partnering capabilities with the ability to influence others without direct authority; Ability to appropriately push back when required.
  • Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed COGS analysis.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliver.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

#Finance

Responsibilities

  • Lead the plan/white-paper for the 5-year gross margin plan and showcase efficiencies needed in the next 5-years based on revenue trends to meet commitments.
  • Influence stakeholders, such as Azure platform, on efficiencies needed to support 1P (First-Party).
  • Liaison with M365 revenue team and business planning team on new features, owning financial modeling for such features, including executive alignment on overall feature viability.
  • Own usage modelling and trends to understand COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) per across workloads.
  • Partner with Cost-in finance stakeholders to develop models to land triangulation of demand and cost-in, and understand efficiencies and COGS optimizations margin goals.
  • Synthesize diverse data into clear narratives and communicate results effectively demonstrating business acumen.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations by reviewing financial processes and documents. Advise on policy adherence and coordinate with Compliance teams.
