As a Software Engineer II in Viva Glint, you will operate full stack to help build scalable, efficient, responsive, and high-performing components using modern engineering practices. You will evolve the product with a customer-first mindset, driving innovation and designing experiences that meet the needs of people who use our solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and operations teams to deliver solutions that meet business requirements while driving engineering and operational excellence across Viva Glint.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree i Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience with building scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.
- 2+ years experience with REACT and Angular.
Other Requirements
The ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience shipping production client software.
- 3+ years of experience with building highly performant web applications.
- Experience building, delivering, and maintaining web applications or services (Azure or comparable cloud).
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $85,000 - CAD $166,800 per year.

Responsibilities
- Work with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
- Contribute to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
- Create and implements code to enable Viva Glint service or feature, reusing code as applicable.
- Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.
- Remain current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
