Overview

We are looking for a strategic and execution-driven Sr. Product Marketing Manager to lead roadmap strategy and launches for Microsoft Foundry Models. In this role, you will work closely with product teams, sales, business planning teams, and model partners to bring new innovative AI models to market in Azure AI Foundry, ensuring seamless launches, and driving adoption across enterprise customers and partners.



Responsibilities
  • Launch Strategy & Execution
    • Own the end-to-end launch process for Foundry Models, including tiering, timelines, and cross-functional orchestration.
    • Own the end-to-end product marketing lifecycle including naming, monetization, research, launch plans and more. Maintain a single source of truth for launch readiness leveraging team practices.
    • Partner with engineering, sales, and field teams to ensure alignment on launch deliverables and timelines.
  • Go-to-Market Planning
    • Define positioning, messaging, and value propositions for new partner models and emerging technologies.
    • Collaborate with business planning on pricing and packaging for new products and services.
    • Drive awareness and adoption through campaigns, PR, social, executive, and thought leadership content.
    • Leverage data to drive internal alignment and portfolio planning and solution mapping, identifying gaps and opportunities for new model offerings.
    • Consult on product positioning and monetization strategies, ensuring competitive differentiation in the market.
  • Content & Enablement
    • Assess, create, and modify GTM assets: FAQs, pitch decks, pricing pages, MS Learn docs, and customer-facing collateral.
    • Enable sellers and partners with training, demos, and competitive insights.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Serve as a launch DRI for Foundry Models and select model partnerships, coordinating with PMM, PG, CELA, RAI, and partner teams.
    • Manage dependencies like benchmarks, throughput readiness, and quality evaluations to unblock launch milestones.
    • Manage marketing budgets and investment strategy for campaigns, enablement, and launches.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in product marketing or GTM roles, preferably in cloud or AI technologies.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Experience with model lifecycle marketing (from preview to GA).
  • Knowledge of compliance and responsible AI processes for enterprise launches.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and influence without authority.
  • Proven ability to create customer evidence, executive briefs, and distill complex insights for decision-makers.
  • Experience in competitive differentiation, public speaking, and industry engagement, including analyst relations and event evangelism.
  • Demonstrated technical thought partnership with product and engineering teams, influencing roadmap and strategic direction.
  • 1+ years of experience managing complex launches with multiple stakeholders.


Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
