Overview

We’re seeking a strategic, execution-driven Sr. Product Marketing Manager to lead roadmap strategy and launches for models and emerging technologies in Microsoft Foundry, with a focus on Foundry Labs and advanced research innovations. This role shapes how new AI technologies go-to-market, driving seamless launches and adoption across enterprise customers, partners, and AI enthusiasts. Positioned at the intersection of product marketing and innovation, it entails collaboration with engineering, sales, cross marketing as well as experimental and research teams pioneering next-generation AI solutions.



Responsibilities

Launch Strategy & Execution

  • Own the end-to-end launch process for Foundry Models & Labs, including tiering, timelines, and cross-functional orchestration.

  • Be a strategic advisor to engineering and research teams for Foundry Labs to drive awareness and capture mindshare among AI enthusiasts.

  • Develop and maintain a single source of truth for launch readiness using team practices.

  • Partner with engineering, sales, and field teams to ensure alignment on launch deliverables and timelines.

  • Own the end-to-end product marketing lifecycle including naming, monetization, research, launch plans and more.

Go-to-Market Planning

  • Define positioning, messaging, and value propositions for new partner models and emerging technologies.

  • Collaborate with business planning on pricing and packaging for new products and services.

  • Drive awareness and adoption through showcase at Microsoft and industry events, campaigns, PR, social, executive, and thought leadership content.

  • Leverage data to drive internal alignment and portfolio planning and solution mapping, identifying gaps and opportunities for new model offerings.

Content & Enablement

  • Assess, create, and modify GTM assets: FAQs, pitch decks, pricing pages, MS Learn docs, and customer-facing collateral.

  • Enable sellers and partners with training, demos, and competitive insights.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as a launch DRI for Foundry Models and select model partnerships, coordinating across product, sales, legal, and partner teams.

  • Manage marketing budgets and investment strategies for campaigns, enablement, and launches.



Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and delivery of technical presentations and customer-facing content that clearly demonstrated product capabilities and business value.
  • Experience creating sales-ready collateral including pitch decks, infographics, demo videos, and e-books to support customer engagement and drive conversions.
  • Experience managing multiple complex product releases under tight timelines, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Experience with generative AI models lifecycle marketing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and influence without authority.
  • Proven ability to create customer evidence, executive briefs, and distill complex insights for decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated technical thought partnership with product and engineering teams,influencing roadmap and strategic direction.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with AI/ML platforms and developer ecosystems
  • Proficient storytelling skills and ability to translate technical capabilities into customer value.


Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
