Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Design, implement, and deliver high-quality features across OneDrive, SharePoint, and related services, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- System Design & Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions for complex distributed systems, focusing on reliability and maintainability.
- Customer-Centric Engineering: Build experiences that delight users by leveraging telemetry, usability insights, and accessibility best practices.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with PM, Design, and partner engineering teams to align on requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
- Quality & Craftsmanship: Drive automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration to maintain high engineering standards.
- Innovation & AI Integration: Explore and implement AI-driven capabilities to enhance productivity and user engagement.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Support fellow engineers through guidance and code reviews, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience developing full stack features across client and server layers with coding in C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with cloud services.
- Ability to debug complex issues across client and server layers.
- Deep understanding of performance optimization and secure coding practices.
- Experience with large-scale web applications, distributed systems, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Own significant feature areas end-to-end.
- Experience influencing technical direction and roadmap decisions.
- Drive measurable improvements in reliability, performance, and user satisfaction.
- Experience in OneDrive and SharePoint product feature development.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
