We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who deeply understands both VMware storage systems and Azure’s storage ecosystem and play a pivotal role in rolling out the new capabilities for Azure VMware Solution (AVS) from concept to launch.

Responsibilities
  • Own the long-term storage roadmap for Azure VMware Solution—covering performance, scalability, DR, cost efficiency, and Azure-native interoperability. Define strategy for hybrid & cloud-connected storage (on-prem vSphere ↔ AVS).
  • Collaborate closely with AVS engineering, VMware, and ANF teams to enhance vSAN performance tiers and ANF datastore reliability, while driving execution across multiple partner teams including Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, ANF, and VMware.
  • Conduct customer and field research to identify gaps in AVS storage experiences. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust product strategies accordingly.
  • Define KPIs for storage performance (latency, throughput, capacity usage, availability).
  • Monitor the performance of Azure VMware solutions, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive execution across multiple partner teams (Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, ANF, VMware, Operations). Work closely with engineering teams to implement storage enhancements and ensure alignment with roadmap goals.
  • Conduct customer and field research to understand storage needs, performance expectations, and pain points. Ensure roadmap and operational improvements address real-world customer priorities, such as scalability, DR, and fast provisioning.
  • Partner with ACE, FastTrack, and Customer Success teams to validate features and solve customer architecture issues. Lead deep technical conversations with customers about storage sizing, migration planning, performance tuning, and DR. Support executive discussions with field teams for top enterprise customers


Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • Min 2 years of hand-on experience working in Cloud Storage solutions ( NetApp, Pure Storage, GCP, AWS, Azure)

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
  • 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
  • 4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
