The Framework Fluent UI / Accessibility team focuses on providing common software components used throughout the Teams ecosystem. We are searching for a passionate and experienced software engineer to contribute to our domain through improvements and new features. Responsibilities
  • Lead and Grow Teams: Build and mentor a high-performing team of Software Engineers and Data Scientists, delivering high-scale services, platforms, and customer experiences.
  • Cross-Group Collaboration: Partner with multiple product groups and architects to define best practices, improve system and platform development, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Architectural Leadership: Drive impactful trade-offs, continuously improve architecture and code quality, and lead consensus on key design decisions across teams and leadership.
  • Vision and Execution: Own the roadmap, set clear goals, and deliver results aligned with business priorities.
  • Enterprise Engagement: Actively collaborate across Microsoft to establish joint ways of working and shared standards.
  • Engineering: Develop and maintain front end web framework features using JavaScript/TypeScript


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND sufficient technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing software engineering teams, including responsibility for hiring, performance management, and career development.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND extensive engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND deep technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
