Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of components across the core platform that supports the Dynamics and Power Platform workload.
- Leverage AI to reimagine the systems and the processes across the engineering workflow from planning and development to deploying and operating them at global scale.
- Identify emerging trends or re-occurring escalation scenarios and drive engineering opportunities to mitigate and/or eliminate the category of failure. This can include a range of potential fixes; such as self-healing mechanisms, self-serve, transparency, automation, and/or increasing the capabilities for Azure support.
- Drive to product improvements by filing impactful bugs, design change requests, and fixes shipped to production, preventing customer impact.
- Able to work well in challenging situations while exhibiting flexibility and the ability to tolerate and manage through ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Beyond technical and product focus; this role requires the ability to frame and communicate issues and recommendations clearly and concisely, show exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to build broad relationships with the right influencers, leveraging those relationships to impact key business results.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AI primitives including, but not limited to, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), evals, or fine tuning
Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
