Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. - Create layered, componentized, testable, interface-based designs.
- Robust implementation and crafted end-user experiences.
- Design highly performant, highly usable, scalable, world-ready, accessible software.
- Collaborate across functional and partner teams to define requirements.
- Own and communicate complex architecture and designs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of professional industry experience working on large projects.
- Excellent design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design highly usable, performant, scalable, world-ready, accessible software.
- Ability to create layered, componentized, testable, interface-based designs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of professional industry experience working on large projects.
- Experience in Microsoft .NET technologies (C# and .NET Framework) and/or competitive offerings.
- Experience with Windows architecture and internals.
- Experience working on the Chromium project.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective collaboration skills driving changes at scale.
- Experience in Data Driven Engineering or Agile Development.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
