The Xbox Experiences and Platforms team is home to the engineering work that makes this vision possible, building the developer tools and services that enable game creators to craft incredible experiences, the commerce systems that connect publishers with their audience and help gamers engage with their next favorite games, the platforms on which those games play at their best, and the experiences that turn every screen into an Xbox.

We are the services team dedicated to helping clients deliver exceptional customer experiences quickly and efficiently. In this role, you’ll build features on services that ensure players enjoy a seamless and consistent gaming experience across Web, TV, Console, PC, and Mobile.



Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of large-scale services, applying modern technologies and engineering best practices.

  • Collaborate with teammates and subject matter experts across geographic locations and organizational boundaries to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Apply established engineering principles, actively participate in code reviews, and develop project management fundamentals.

  • Participate in oncall rotations and incident response to maintain high service availability and drive timely resolution.

  • Contribute to governance activities, execute technical tasks, and ensure quality through automated testing and integration validation.

  • Create and maintain functional and technical documentation, write unit and integration tests, and support CI/CD pipeline updates.

  • Engage in continuous learning, seek mentorship, and develop skills in scalable systems and cloud technologies.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Computer Science or related technical discipline,
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent skills in problem solving and debugging.

  • Passion for customers, product quality and test engineering.



Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
