Responsibilities
1. Operations & Program Management
- Lead daily operations for TDM production, ensuring output, yield, cost, and delivery targets are met.
- Manage multi-site manufacturing and supplier operations, driving alignment on schedules, capacity, and readiness.
- Coordinate build plans for EV, DV, MP and sustaining phases.
- Drive operational risk assessment and mitigation plans (e.g., supply constraints, manpower, equipment uptime).
2. Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance on touch sensor, display module, lamination, OCA/OCR, and optical performance.
- Troubleshoot complex engineering issues, including electrical, mechanical, optical, and process deviations.
- Partner with design and R&D teams to influence product architecture, component selection, and manufacturability.
- Lead technical reviews with suppliers (DFM, DFR, MP readiness, CTQ/CTF alignment).
3. Quality Management
- Ensure stable yield performance through process control, SPC, and issue containment.
- Lead root cause analysis (5Why, FTA, DOE) for critical quality issues and drive permanent corrective actions.
- Strengthen supplier quality systems and first-launch quality for new products.
- Institutionalize lessons learned and best-in-class practices across all operations.
4. Supplier & Manufacturing Engagement
- Manage TDM+ suppliers for panels, touch sensors, OCA/OCR, cover glass, and module assembly.
- Evaluate supplier capability, readiness, and multi-geo expansion feasibility.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives such as second-source qualification, BOM optimization, and process improvement.
5. NPI (New Product Introduction) Readiness
- Lead factory readiness for new programs from EVT through MP, ensuring process maturity and equipment capability.
- Work with cross-functional teams (ME, EE, TE, PE, PM) to develop validation plans and ensure milestone completion.
- Secure smooth ramp-up with minimal issues and on-time delivery of engineering builds.
6. Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Support strategic roadmap for touch and display module technologies.
- Provide regular updates on performance metrics: yield, quality, cost, delivery, and risk.
- Lead cross-functional communication to ensure clarity and alignment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Senior Factory Management Engineer Manager, Factory Management Engineering
- Master's Degree in manufacturing, material, mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in a manufacturing environment /repair
- OR Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing, material, mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment/repair
- OR 7+ years of equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in display, touch module, or consumer electronics manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of TDM processes: lamination (OCR/OCA), optical bonding, touch sensor integration, LCM module assembly.
- Proven experience in supplier management and multi-geo operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (DOE, SPC, FMEA).
- Experience leading NPI programs from EV to MP.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to travel to supplier sites (e.g., China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Korea).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automotive or high-reliability display modules.
- Knowledge of PFAS-free materials, advanced OCA/OCR, and next-generation lamination processes.
- Familiarity with AI-based process control or digital manufacturing systems.
