Our Developer Agents group leads the charge to establish generative AI technology as the pathway to evolve our industry beyond low-code to agent-driven app building.

Job Purpose

As a Software Engineer on the Power Platform Developer Agents team, you will play a key role in building next-generation, cloud-first application experiences that empower customers to create AI-driven solutions. In this role, you will develop a platform that enables users to transform business problems into intelligent applications by leveraging the full capabilities of the Power Platform. Your work will help customers intuitively harness the power of AI to innovate and build real solutions that drive meaningful business impact.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine user requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Contribute to design documentation, identify dependencies, and implement scalable, reusable code for features and services with minimal oversight.
  • Break down complex work into smaller tasks, provide accurate estimations, and actively participate in an agile, feature-crew environment.
  • Embrace a start-up-like culture by thinking creatively, optimizing for cloud-first solutions, and delivering at a rapid release cadence.
  • Periodically act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining 24x7 live site reliability for global customers.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the
  • Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in development experience.
  • Experience with web application development using .Net\C#\React\typescript.
  • Comfortable driving complex server & client architecture across large product teams.
  • A passion for improving engineering practices and producing high quality software.
  • Experience designing with LLMs and prompt engineering.
  • Self-motivated and customer focused.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
