The Digital and App Innovation team at Microsoft is at the center of an incredible transformation across the market that will bring AI into the core of nearly every business application and the app development lifecycle and toolchain.

Through our efforts we are helping every business access the full potential of AI, making it easier for every developer to build fast with the most popular development tools in the world and run their apps on the most powerful app platform in the world, purpose built for AI. To accelerate the market opportunity to modernize applications for AI, we are seeking a senior product marketing leader to drive our strategy across our leading portfolio of technologies spanning our app platform with a focus on AI.



Responsibilities

This individual will report directly to the marketing leader for Digital and App Innovation and will act as a core member of the business unit’s marketing team. This individual will play a critical role in driving success and growth across the Commercial Cloud & AI marketing team, including:

  • Lead solution play messaging and content creation for customer, field, and partner audiences across a broad v-team and stakeholders.
  • Define the core marketing strategy and product narrative for AI apps and agents with a focus on the application platform and developer tools.
  • Drive market leadership for the AI apps and agents by defining strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, and advocacy.
  • Deliver sales enablement and field support through collaboration with sales, partner, and engineering teams to develop sales-ready collateral for new product announcements and updates.
  • Create feedback loop cycles with sales, partners, and engineering to ensure content resonates with audience and to maximize utilization across stakeholders
  • Support major launch moments, executive disclosures, events, and industry milestones to communicate product strategy clearly and consistently.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and sales stakeholders to achieve annual revenue and engagement growth priorities, business targets, and monetization strategies.
  • Develop a perspective on competitive solutions and communicate effectively with sales and customers to highlight the unique aspects of Microsoft’s offerings.
  • Curate high-impact messaging and core product themes aligned with Microsoft's vision for the app platform, ensuring consistent communication through proactive content programs.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with product marketing, specifically messaging and positioning, and content development
  • Demonstrated ability to drive new and enhanced products to market, with tangible impact
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and requirements across business objectives, application strategies, technical requirements and outcomes
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new and emerging technologies
  • Ability to clearly communicate from the perspective of the customer
  • Strong project management, critical thinking, and cross-group collaboration skills
  • Understanding of Sales strategy/enablement, priorities of field and partner teams
  • Experience with AI, enterprise applications and developers is strongly desired


Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
