As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to help build world-class hardware with the latest technologies. You will utilize your experience in component design and system integration through fast-paced product development cycles. You will lead mechanical development work, coordinate engineering activities across teams, and engage with offshore suppliers and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) partners while working with cross-disciplinary teams. Ability to deal with ambiguity and utilize your problem-solving skills, creativity, collaboration and good communication / documentation skills is a must.

Responsibilities
- Lead end to end Mechanical product design and delivery from concept through launch, ensuring technical excellence and timely execution.
- Drive cross-functional technical decision-making across EE, audio, optics, antenna, RF, silicon, firmware, OS, validation, and manufacturing teams.
- Utilize prototyping, tolerance analysis and simulation tools to validate early design concepts and prior to release.
- Validate assembly sequence, fixture design and in-process testing plan to ensure product quality targets are met.
- Define and manage program baselines in partnership with TPMs, including system-level requirements, performance goals, schedule, budget, and change control.
- Evaluate and de-risk NUDD (New, Unique, Different, Difficult) technologies and features through structured analysis and mitigation planning.
- Articulate architectural, design and manufacturing tradeoffs across cross functional teams to optimize for cost, performance, and scalability.
- Work closely with validation engineering team, systems engineering team and manufacturing engineering team to drive issues found during test to closure.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related technical engineering experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related technical engineering experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related technical engineering experience
- OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related technical engineering experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years related technical engineering experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical design using Creo CAD software.
- Experience designing complex assemblies using various manufacturing techniques (machining, injection molding, metal forming, etc).
- Experience working with data analysis tools, tolerance analysis, thermal and finite element analysis.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts with solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Work experience in consumer electronics industry, working with suppliers & ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) partners and designing for high volume manufacturing.

Mechanical Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
