Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries. We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.
The Metrics Infrastructure team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help us build the foundational layer of the Time Series Database for Azure Monitor.
We design and operate systems that deliver near-real-time telemetry and health insights for Microsoft services and countless customer workloads hosted on Azure. Responsibilities
As a senior member of our team, you will lead design and code reviews across feature areas and participate in all stages of our engineering lifecycle (initial research and discovery, quick iteration on promising concepts, solution prototyping and development, deployment and live site support).
Developers in the team are expected to wear multiple hats and demonstrate breadth, depth, and leadership.
You will work with multiple partner teams and deploy across all Azure regions.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Job Requirements: Other & Additional
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
