Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) who specializes in data platforms and analytics to help customers build secure, scalable, and AI-ready solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role will initially have focus on Power BI & fabric, then expand into the wider data domain over time.

In this customer-facing role, you’ll support projects that include solution design, proof of concepts, and helping customers move to production. Your focus will be on ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, and perform well across important workloads.

As part of the Cloud + AI Data team, you’ll work with technologies like Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Cosmos DB, and Purview. You’ll use existing tools and best practices to help deliver successful deployments and accelerate adoption.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams, share learnings, and stay up to date on new trends so you can help customers get the most value from their data and AI investments.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customer IT and business stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of their data landscape, strategic priorities, and success criteria. Lead the design of secure, scalable Data & AI solutions—primarily leveraging Power BI within Microsoft Fabric—while progressively broadening your influence across areas such as Azure Databricks, databases, data governance, and AI.
  • Take a leading role in the design and implementation of Power BI solutions, contributing expertise across complementary data technologies including Azure Databricks, databases, and governance frameworks.
  • Contribute to and at times guide architecture discussions, helping shape Data & Analytics roadmaps that align technology decisions with business objectives.
  • Drive the execution of Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to accelerate customer adoption and demonstrate the value of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes, proactively managing risks and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Promote best practices and reusable assets across engagements to maximize customer value and improve repeatability.
  • Oversee and continuously refine Power BI solutions to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and governance standards.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues that could impact go-live, supporting technical conversations and enabling clear decision-making.
  • Stay ahead of updates across Power BI and Microsoft’s broader Data & AI ecosystem, integrating new capabilities into customer solutions where relevant.
  • Invest in continuous learning, actively engaging with internal and external communities and contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Pursue and maintain certifications in key technologies such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and related data services to reinforce technical excellence.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND a couple years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
  • Data platforms and analytics experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND a few years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND a couple of years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • Proven experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
  • Norwegian and English Fluency.
