Overview

The Microsoft 365 Consumer Marketing team is accelerating the shift toward AI-powered productivity. As part of this mission, Copilot experiences are becoming a primary entry point for everyday users to create, learn, and get more done across Microsoft products and services.

The Copilot ecosystem spans multiple Microsoft surfaces where people already spend time—Windows and the PC shell, Edge and web entry points, and Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Together, these connected experiences help customers move seamlessly from discovery to doing. We are hiring a Product Marketing Manager - Consumer Copilot Ecosystem to help shape and scale the Copilot ecosystem. This role focuses on improving cross-surface customer value from first encounter to everyday use and partnering cross-functionally to deliver cohesive experiences that make Copilot intuitive, trustworthy, and useful.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute product marketing strategy for connected Copilot experiences across the Microsoft ecosystem, aligning narrative, positioning, and product experiences.
  • Create scalable marketing assets and internal enablement for shared Copilot experiences to keep teams aligned and ready to communicate Copilot consistently.
  • Inform product and marketing strategy through a deep understanding of customer needs and expectations, as well as industry standards and competitive offerings.
  • Leverage product telemetry and customer feedback to identify friction points and influence product investments, roadmap prioritization, and ecosystem readiness.
  • Build and maintain the Copilot ecosystem source of truth (market landscape, competitive intel, customer pain points) and turn it into actionable inputs for product planning, executive storytelling, and launch readiness.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

    • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ years experience in product marketing or consumer tech
      • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in product marketing or consumer tech
      • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

    • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in product marketing or consumer tech
      • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in product marketing or consumer tech
      • OR equivalent experience.
    • Experience in customer and market insights, competitive analysis, and translating learnings into clear requirements that influence product direction.
    • Experience translating complex value propositions for mainstream audiences.
    • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, the consumer competitive landscape, and prompt-driven or agentic experiences.
    • Experience marketing platform/ecosystem products (multi-surface, multi-team, shared capabilities) and navigating dependencies across partner teams.


Product Marketing IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
