Overview

We’re looking for a talented Product Program Manager who is also an engineer. This role works across all of Microsoft to deliver next-generation solutions including silicon and systems, designed to customer needs, supporting our growth in cloud-based AI workloads.

Microsoft Teams, Azure Compute, Microsoft Foundry, and other Microsoft products are built atop hardware advancements developed by Microsoft’s Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure (AHSI) organization. AHSI develops the core hardware and systems powering these products and leads fundamental evolution in our silicon, hardware systems, and infrastructure.

In this role, you’ll work across all of Azure to help deliver next-generation silicon and systems. Our next-generation silicon and systems programs depend on execution and delivery from across Azure and broader Microsoft. You’ll help develop the product, drive the team, and ensure we deliver on quality and schedule.



Responsibilities
  • Learn our hardware product and datacenter roadmaps through direct engagements across Azure and broader Microsoft.
  • Engage with engineering teams to help prioritize and optimize resourcing, schedules, and deliverables to support broader program objectives.
  • Refine product requirements, balancing the needs of multiple customers and engineering feasibility
  • Drive closure on product implementation decisions, aligning stakeholders from silicon to software
  • Develop processes and procedures to guide daily operations and execution of our programs, driving clarity and efficiency.
  • Help adapt existing processes to the latest organizational and product needs, always considering the most efficient way to deliver results.
  • Prioritize outcomes—not ownership—to ensure the integrated team achieves more, more efficiently.
  • Communicate with precision and clarity to drive alignment in both small and broad teams.
  • Bring clarity through broad team communications and documentation.
  • Effectively collaborate, build relationships, and influence team members to achieve program objectives.
  • Report out to executive leadership on a periodic basis.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • 6+ years of Program Management, Product Management, and/or Engineering Management experience.
  • Experience working through a complete product cycle (from initial design through post-release sustainment).
  • Experience with hardware development, embedded systems, systems software or other hardware/software boundary experience.
  • Experience with cross-organizational / cross-group development spanning multiple organizational structures.
  • A high tolerance for ambiguity and change.
  • Excellent design and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communications skills.


Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
