Leveraging the robust features of its desktop counterpart, Edge Mobile ensures users have access to their favorite sites, bookmarks, and settings across devices. Our goal is to provide a consistent, high-quality browsing experience that matches the capabilities of the desktop version while being specifically optimized for mobile devices.
The Microsoft Edge Commercial Mobile Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Edge Browser who is passionate about building a customizable, secure, and delightful browser for managed enterprise scenarios.
As a part of our team, you will work to improve the Edge mobile product for our business customers and earn their trust. You’ll work in a variety of codebases and have a chance to collaborate with numerous partner teams and S500 customers to solve their problems. This is an opportunity to work on a modern codebase with a fast iteration loop. You will get a chance to work in several languages, including portable C++, Java, Objective-C, Swift, and JavaScript. You will need to collaborate with many Microsoft business features and infrastructures, such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID and authentication libraries, and Microsoft Tunnel, to name just a few.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure mobile applications.
- Drive the technical strategy and architecture for mobile applications for iOS.
- Work with numerous partner teams and S500 customers to solve their problems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends across mobile and web technologies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in C/C++, Objective-C, or modern programming languages with solid engineering skills.
- 5+ years of mobile engineering experience in iOS (Objective-C/Swift).
- 5+ years of experience in building commercial software.
- 5+ years of experience in API design, data structures, design patterns, and asynchronous programming.
- 3+ years of experience in architecture design.
- A solid understanding of the mobile industry.
- Proficient in English, both in writing and reading.
