Responsibilities

The Group Product Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Set the North Star – Define the vision and strategy for AI skilling across learner, manager, and enterprise scenarios; translate it into clear success metrics.
  • Turn Insight into Product – Use qualitative and quantitative research to uncover unmet needs and convert them into crisp scenarios, roadmaps, and MVPs.
  • Lead the Portfolio – Prioritize data informed investments; make tradeoffs across content, platform, telemetry, cost/latency, privacy, and compliance.
  • Build AI First Experiences – Partner with Design and Engineering to ship LLM powered features (recommendations, coach, pathways, assessment) that are usable, accessible, and trustworthy.
  • Raise the Bar on Quality – Establish measurement for engagement, learning outcomes, credential attainment, reliability, and performance; iterate based on evidence.
  • Launch and Grow – Collaborate with Product Marketing and field teams to craft narratives, land launches (e.g., major events), and drive adoption and retention.
  • Win with Partners – Work with internal/external partners (e.g., content providers, platform teams) to expand catalog depth, credentials, and enterprise integrations.
  • Model Reliable Product Leadership – Create clarity, build energy, and deliver results across multiple squads/epics through inclusive, transparent execution.

Go To Market:

  • Drive Growth Levers – Define positioning, packaging, and growth motions to accelerate adoption and retention across segments.
  • Land Customer Value – Ensure product capabilities translate into clear, differentiated customer narratives in market.

People Management:

  • Build a Proficient Team – Attract and develop high-caliber product talent with clear ownership and high standards.
  • Grow Product Leaders – Coach Product Managers to deepen product judgment, customer insight, and strategic thinking.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years people management experience.

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 15+ years of experience in product management
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of product management experience building and scaling customer-facing products from 0 to 1 and 1 to N, across both startup and enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading Product Managers or product leaders.
  • Proven track record of owning product vision, multi-year strategy, and portfolio-level prioritization, with measurable customer and business impact.
  • Experience building and shipping AI or data-powered products, with clear understanding of quality, safety, and cost/latency tradeoffs.
  • Proficient product sense grounded in customer insight (qualitative and quantitative) and the ability to translate that into scenarios, MVPs, and scalable systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth and adoption, including go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and experimentation.
  • Proficient cross-functional leadership and influence, with the ability to align Engineering, Design, Marketing, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in learning, skilling, credentials, or workforce development, or adjacent platforms involving content ecosystems and user journeys.
  • Well-Developed foundation in experimentation and measurement, including A/B testing, cohort analysis, and outcome-based metrics.


Product Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
