We are adding to our diverse team of experts and are looking to hire a RIA Operations Analyst to help lead the development and execution of efficient and quality driven technical improvements to the handling of client account statements and provides analytical support within reinsurance accounting.
This position will effectively bring optimization through automation, elimination or changes that align and comply with global, regional, local, legal, compliance and technology directives, as well as satisfy internal and external audit requirements. The position also provides consultative expertise related to automation concepts and process improvements and will align with global counterparts for adherence to standards and projects driven.
Responsibilities
Your Job:
• Lead global, regional, and local project implementations, incorporating project management skills as well as business analysis, coordinate requirements, testing and training delivery portions of project implementation and post project support
• Provide business knowledge, context and guidance to IT and others for requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, testing, rollout and training of technical solutions
• Create, deliver and lead effective communications that identify, assess, and communicate risks and/or issues with all stakeholders at all levels through the life cycle of each project or initiative
• Interpret and analyze information presented in data sets of various complexity and formats; identify improvement opportunities and propose solutions for simplification; monitor outcomes
• Assess and recommend solutions on processing for complex or key account handling; may require direct contact with client management, Reinsurance/Specialty Markets DFM’s, and external clients to assess options
• Oversee the daily work, provide direction and support to others that may not have a direct reporting relationship
• Problem solving and provide solutions on issues that arise in the day to day running of automated processes in a timely manner
• Provide expertise regarding requirements gathering, design, documentation, testing, rollout and training of technical solutions
• Identify, assess, and communicate risks and/or issues
• Develop and analyze operational process metrics
• Train and provide guidance to others to promote continued growth and development, improve data quality, meet efficiency objectives, and help others adapt to change
• Provide consultative expertise and participate on special projects as required
Qualifications
Your Profile:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, accounting, finance or equivalent education and work experience
• 5+ years’ experience preferred with the analysis and manipulation of information from various sources including Corporate data warehouses and other proprietary data sources to create management level reports for analysis
• Insurance or Reinsurance experience strongly preferred with hands on experience in analyzing client data and results including but not limited to premiums, losses, commissions, cash balances, reserves, contracts, etc.
• Project management experience a plus
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Excel required, Access and Powerpoint preferred) along with general tech savviness and a willingness keep abreast of new and emerging technologies that have business process benefits
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate varying amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must have strong business acumen as well as technical solutions expertise with an excellent understanding of how technology impacts the business
