Within the Division of Investment Services, the Data Integration unit owns a recently developed data analytics platform designed to serve the needs of Asset Management. Beginning in mid-2025, we will launch a multi-year program to onboard an additional 70 GenAI use cases for Asset Management, expanding upon the existing analytical case already implemented on the platform.
We are looking for an experienced, results-driven Senior Business Analyst to join our Data Integration team, someone who is forward thinking, professional and resilient delivering high-quality results through structured work, intense teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be the primary liaison between project teams and their stakeholders in business units, Group functions and/or externally. You’ll elicit requirements, shape business needs, ensuring that the scope is clearly understood and articulated at the project outset. You’ll work with project sponsors and managers throughout projects to ensure that requirements are being met, and that issues are managed proactively.
- Working closely with multiple stakeholders to gather, analyze and define current business processes as well as requirements
- Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project plan on time and on-budget. Follow Munich Re project methodologies as applicable.
- Ensuring requirements issues are tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner
- Effectively communicating plan, status, risks and issues to the stakeholder in a precise and timely manner
- Supporting users' participation in deployments and implementation activities
- Provide traceability of requirements and subsequent change requests, tracking delivery of those requirements by the project team
- Assist with business testing preparation and execution on project deliverables, ensuring the solution meets business expectations based upon approved project scope
- Create appropriate level of product documentation (required for maintenance and support)
To succeed in this role, consider the following requirements:
- University degree preferably in Computer engineering / IT, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences or similar qualification
- Several years of business analyst or related experience, ideally within IT or data related projects
- A sound understanding of Asset Management and data landscape needed in portfolio management, back office (Operations, Accounting, Reporting) as well as market risk and performance attribution
- Preferably, you are already ITIL certified or have the readiness to pursue one with our support
- Demonstrated ability to work globally across entities and cultures
- History of leading and supporting successful projects
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Recording business requirements from internal customers or departments and reviewing them for relevance and cost-effectiveness
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
Desired qualifications
The focus are the core skills of business analyst. The following qualifications are important in a data driven team:
- Understanding data management (data ingestion, data validation, enrichment, curation) to support the analysis and specification of requirements for technical implementation
- Expertise in the market data systems and applications used in Asset Management
- Expertise in cloud development and related processes in a Databricks environment
