This position supports Credit Card Underwriting Decisioning Strategy team initiatives by leading complex business, system, and operational efforts that support underwriting strategy, credit policy, and technology modernization objectives. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project teams to deliver system enhancements and operational improvements. Responsibilities include leading business requirements and solution analysis, assessing business process and system impacts, guiding testing and implementation activities, validating business outcomes, and supporting successful delivery through production deployment and post-implementation monitoring. The ideal candidate is a recognized subject matter expert with strong business and systems analysis skills, experience leading complex technology initiatives, strong SQL and data validation capabilities, and the ability to independently drive strategic initiatives while influencing stakeholders across business and technology organizations.

This position supports Credit Card Underwriting Decisioning Strategy team initiatives by leading complex business, system, and operational efforts that support underwriting strategy, credit policy, and technology modernization objectives. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project teams to deliver system enhancements and operational improvements.
  • 7-10 years of experience in business and operational strategy, planning and analysis, systems implementation, or project delivery.
  • Subject matter expert within business area/specialization with understanding of interrelationships of different disciplines
  • Extensive experience gathering and documenting business requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and business solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of data querying, data validation, business process analysis, and solution evaluation
  • Strong SQL experience with the ability to perform complex data analysis, root cause investigation, and business outcome validation.
  • Advanced problem resolution skills including determining root cause, scope and scale of issues
  • Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
  • Advanced leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Expert project management skills to lead projects and/or initiatives of large scope to include working effectively with diverse internal and external contacts
  • Bachelor's Degree in Buiness Administration, Finance or related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with TSYS platforms and credit card processing systems preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Azure DevOps (ADO), user stories, backlog management, and acceptance criteria

  • Evaluate business data and conduct analyses and reporting to identify challenges and opportunities; provide solutions to complex business problems using quantitative analysis methodology to perform data, cost and benefit, and/or process measurement analysis
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives supporting underwriting strategy, credit policy, system enhancements, and operational improvements from requirements through implementation and production readiness.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for innovation
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities
  • Assess requirements for internal business processes, ensuring integration across teams and business units and compatibility with organizational strategic goals
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test strategy, defect management, data validation, production verification, and implementation readiness.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business
