Job Summary
We’re growing our Enterprise organization and expanding coverage across some of NetApp’s largest and most strategic customers. These are well-known names in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and technology, organizations that rely on data to power decisions, performance, and innovation.
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you’ll partner closely with an Enterprise Client Executive to form a high-impact team. Together, you’ll develop deep technical relationships, architect complex data solutions, and drive multi-million-dollar outcomes that help your customers modernize their infrastructure and accelerate their cloud transformation.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the technical lead and trusted advisor for a small number of large, strategic enterprise accounts.
- Partner closely with your Client Executive to define and execute account strategy, pipeline development, and deal progression.
- Build strong relationships with senior architects, IT decision-makers, and technical stakeholders, earning credibility through expertise and trust.
- Lead in-depth discovery sessions to uncover pain points and architect end-to-end solutions using the full NetApp portfolio
- Design and position solutions that integrate on-prem, hybrid, and cloud storage architectures to solve complex business challenges.
- Support multi-million-dollar sales cycles, often spanning multiple years, while maintaining consistent engagement and technical alignment with the customer.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and partner teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Demonstrate curiosity and initiative, always looking for new ways to add value and drive innovation within your accounts.
Who You Are
- A seasoned technical sales professional with experience navigating large, complex enterprise environments.
- Exceptional at building relationships at the technical level and engaging confidently with enterprise architects and IT leadership.
- Naturally inquisitive, you ask thoughtful, probing questions that uncover needs customers haven’t yet articulated.
- Adept at managing long sales cycles and maintaining technical momentum throughout the process
- Collaborative and team-oriented, you work in perfect sync with your Client Executive and see your partnership as the foundation of success.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable balancing strategy with execution.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in technical sales engineering, pre-sales engineering, or solutions consulting.
- Proven success supporting Fortune 500 or global-scale enterprise customers.
- Track record of architecting and delivering multi-million-dollar deals involving complex technical solutions
- Deep technical understanding of storage technologies and the components surrounding enterprise data infrastructure
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to simplify technical value into business impact.
The OTE (On Target Earnings) Range for this position is $205,000 - 250,910 USD and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
