Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Engineering team. In this role, you will drive strategy, execution, and innovation, managing cross-functional tasks spanning multiple large groups across geographic areas. Your decisions will have significant operational and financial impacts, and you will apply your deep knowledge to solve complex issues and establish medium to long-range plans.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate accountability and ownership of a complex technical area of the product while operating under limited supervision and direction, drive results and set priorities independently.
• Manage cross-functional tasks spanning multiple groups across geographic areas.
• Handle unstructured tasks and conducting research to convert vague/undefined requirements into clearly articulated ones.
• Demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving strategy decisions.
• Focus on creating and influencing strategy and delivering on execution.
• Make decisions with significant operational or business impact.
• Apply in-depth knowledge to solve broad issues that are complex in scope and establish medium to long-range plans.
Interaction:
• Utilize people skills and available management tools to critically impact the growth of individuals on the team.
• Work effectively with staff to vice president-level employees within and outside of the function and organization.
• Demonstrate favorable results through leadership of the function, project, and team.
• Navigate through ambiguity and drive the team towards common goals.
• Mentor engineers in the team to foster technical growth and career development.
• Influence peers and partners across teams and business units.
• Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 10 years as an individual contributor and at least 5 years as a people manager.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of cloud technologies and orchestration frameworks with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, Oracle or GCP.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.
• Project Management: Proven experience in software development and delivery of large, complex projects, agile development, and operational improvements.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage senior and experienced engineers.
• Product Development: Clear understanding of the product development cycle.
• Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple critical projects simultaneously.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting to partners and senior leadership.
• Preferred: Data storage experience.

Education

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master’s Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 174,250 - 258,500 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
