Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing), with experience delivering production-quality cloud solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, Python and Go/Java.
- Deep experience with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Google Cloud, including marketplace deployment and automation.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Google Infrastructure Manager.
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Experience with REST APIs, cloud security, and networking is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise storage systems (ONTAP or similar) is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring, technical guidance, and driving cross-team initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Cloud Volumes ONTAP team, you will work as part of a team of skilled engineers accountable for participating in the entire lifecycle of our cloud storage products, including design, development, deployment, maintenance, and testing. You will build deep expertise in NetApp’s core technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation frameworks.
You will actively participate in the coding and design process, from incubation to completion, with a focus on automating and optimizing the deployment of NetApp’s Cloud Volumes ONTAP solutions through public cloud marketplaces. You will lead technical discussions within the immediate group and across functions, evaluating and executing design and development plans for our cloud-native products. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior engineers, drive architectural decisions, and help build cloud-scale products used by thousands of customers worldwide.
Education
- IC - Typically requires a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
- BTech/BE in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, a Master’s degree.
