Job Summary

The Professional Services Engineer (PSE) in Taiwan provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation, migration and maintenance of company products.

This individual may be involved in implementing detailed customer installation requirements, as well as ensuring that client’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification. The PSE provides follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deploy post-sales hardware and software installations with medium to high level complexity
  • Experienced in designing and deploying NetApp storage technologies.
  • A thorough understanding of other components in the infrastructure stack – compute, virtualization and networks: (NetApp architecture, HPE/DELL Compute Server, VMWare vSphere, AIX, Microsoft or Linux Operating Systems and user applications, ex: Veritas/Commvault).
  • Experience with any of the following tools/technologies, Dockers, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Automation.
  • Coordinate with senior customer representatives and Sales teams in the performance of daily tasks
  • Onsite and remote subject matter expert with NetApp, IT infrastructure, applications, and Cloud services
  • Strong expertise in network design and implementation, troubleshooting, configuration and performance tuning
  • Consistently prepared for all task assignments
  • Provide project planning, design, implementation, and final “As-Built” documentation
  • Design and architect company marketed solution sets and other custom consulting
  • Follow appropriate escalation guidelines, as required, during customer engagements
  • Maintains strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ensure all assigned work tasks are completed in an effective and efficient manner
  • Performs as technical lead when deploying large complex projects
  • Broad exposure and understanding of a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environmen

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience required, plus at least 5 years’ work experience
  • Must have prior SAN Product Knowledge and Understanding
  • Must have at least 3 years SAN storage (ex: IBM, HPE, DELL|EMC, PureStorage, HDS) deployment experience (more are welcome)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
