  • Define and implement frameworks, workflows, cadences, and operating mechanisms for an integrated PMM organization spanning product, technical, solutions, and platform marketing.
  • Drive operational alignment with Product, Sales, Corporate Marketing, and Regional GTM teams—ensuring PMM is predictable, accountable, and connected across functions.
  • Partner with the SVP, Product Marketing to define annual/quarterly goals, resource planning, OKRs, and organizational KPIs.

Competitive Intelligence & Market Insights

  • Conduct comprehensive market research, or work with internal teams who possess it, to identify and analyze industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies. Synthesize this data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic planning, product development, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Build and manage a modern CI engine that provides continuous, actionable intelligence on competitors, markets, customer trends, and technology shifts (including AI and cloud).
  • Work closely with other internal Insights Teams and Analyst Groups to deliver executive-ready insights on competitive moves, market opportunities, pricing dynamics, and emerging threats.
  • Create standardized competitive frameworks, battlecards, teardown models, and market maps used across PMM, Sales, and Product.

GTM Operations & Process Excellence

  • Own and evolve the end-to-end GTM development process, ensuring PMM leads with clarity and consistency from product definition through launch and lifecycle growth.
  • Establish repeatable templates, timelines, stage gates, and PMM deliverable standards for all major releases and initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Revenue teams to ensure field readiness, measurement, and GTM execution excellence.

Analytics, Performance, & Insights

  • Build dashboards and analytics that track PMM effectiveness, product performance trends, GTM impact, and competitive shifts.
  • Lead planning to ensure marketing investments align with goals; use data to guide prioritization, investment planning, and product/portfolio decisions.
  • Lead the storytelling around market momentum, business opportunities, and GTM performance for executive audiences.

Incubation Marketing (Emerging Products)

  • Lead product marketing for early-stage or sub-scale product areas, working closely with BU and Product teams to:
    • Validate early market fit.
    • Define positioning and messaging.
    • Develop scaled GTM readiness
    • Build the foundation for scale adoption
  • Serve as the PMM “special operations” team for strategic innovations, new AI-driven offerings, and platform extensions.

Key Qualifications and Requirements

  • 15 years of experience in marketing or product marketing roles, in a technically oriented business with a proven track record in leading operations functions for large technology centered businesses
  • Demonstrated success in building and marketing world-class, enterprise-scale IaaS/PaaS/SaaS products from inception to market leadership. Experience in building markets and products from 0 to 1, ideal.
  • Strong business acumen and experience with data driven decision making across pricing, marketing and sales
  • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams to launch and grow products in a competitive market.
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and foster a culture of collaboration across product, engineering, corporate marketing, sales, and partner teams.
