We are seeking a Senior Manager for Technical Program Management to lead and oversee complex technical projects and programs within our organization. This role requires a blend of strong technical acumen, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving the successful execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
14+ years of experience in technical program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong technical background in software development, systems engineering, or related fields.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex technical programs using Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, driving alignment and achieving results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate and resolve complex technical and organizational challenges.
Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or similar.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple technical programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Collaborate with senior leadership to define program goals, objectives, and deliverables that support business objectives.
Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure clear communication, manage expectations, and address concerns proactively.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of program managers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with program execution, ensuring that potential issues are addressed proactively.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes, tools, and methodologies.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and make data-driven decisions.
Leverage your technical background to understand complex technical challenges, facilitate problem-solving, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with engineering, product management, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
