Job Summary

NetApp is seeking a dynamic Product Manager to join the Google Cloud NetApp Volumes team in the Cloud Storage Product Group. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and business acumen and have hands-on experience in databases (Microsoft SQL, Oracle, SAP Hana, Postgres etc.) and enterprise applications. The focus of the role will be to identify and build product and solution capabilities to advance the self-managed database workloads for NetApp Volumes in Google Cloud.

In this position, the successful candidate will work closely with the product and technical leadership, Sales and Solution Architecture teams to deliver product, solutions and positioning for Google Cloud NetApp Volumes to drive the business impact across verticals.

Job Requirements

5+ years’ experience in product management or architecture/design with a background in enterprise infrastructure (storage, networking and security)
Hands-on experience with enterprise database applications like MS SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA, Postgres etc. with expertise in deployment practices, performance benchmarking, cloud migration strategies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally
Demonstrated ability to work across cross-functional and cross-geo teams to drive results
Strong working knowledge of operating systems – Red Hat, SLES, Windows etc
Hands-on experience of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with in-depth experience using Ansible/Terraform.
Experience with Public Cloud operations and technologies.

Responsibilities

Assess the product capabilities and identify opportunities to further the product/solution differentiation for self-managed database workloads.
Build on insights from database operations and deployment patterns to identify improvements to the product and solutions.
Develop and deliver solution guides and reference architectures to accelerate customer adoption and sales outcomes
Identify gaps and enhancements in the product, prioritize and execute delivery of these features to advance the self-managed database workloads attach
Develop architected frameworks and playbooks for enterprise database cloud migration and deployment
Deliver field enablement and education sessions and empower sales and customer success organizations to deliver customer outcomes
Develop benchmarks for various databases and publish the best practices and technical reports.
Work with GTM teams to create customer facing collateral, launch materials, and participate in activities to evangelize product and solution.

Education

Minimum of 8 years experience with Bachelors or equivalent qualifications.
